Playing in Photoshop

I was playing in photoshop. I wanted to resize a photo ands keep it clear, no blurring. I got out my photoshop book and started playing with a pic of Chanacey that I took at Scott and Kristen's wedding party. It had turned out kinda wierd looking but I still liked it.

This is the results:

Then he preceeded to tell me how to change the pics without having to start over. Just by changing a few things and a couple of clicks, I had the pic of Scott instead of Chanacey without having to start from the beginning. It took about 15 seconds to make the changes. Pretty neat HUH?

I should have taken the pic of Scott into photoshop and played around with it a bit, but to late now.

The Deer

The other day I went for a walk and as I rounded the corner of this old building on the property I was walking on, I almost ran right smack into 4 deer out enjoying a nice dinner until I interrupted them. I think I scared them as much as they did me. I just happened to have my camera with me so I wouldn't be so bored walking by myself and I would have a reason to stop and rest more often. Of course I had the wrong lens on my camera, so I went running for home (well maybe a fast walk) to change the lens, then headed out again to stalk the deer. When I got back they had started to move up the hill.

This one was taken before I changed my lens.

Look a human.

I took these after chasing them up the hill.

Oh no! she's back.

Honey! I have an itch on my leg, will you get that for me?

I have an itch too.

Wait, I gotta go pee.

Excuuuse me!

I'm so embarrased.

Damn! she's still there.

What are we going to do? She won't go away.

I'm outta of here.

Saving the Bird Nest

Last Friday I had to go to work. It was cold and rainy, but we had to save the bird nest. It seems that an Osprey had decided to build a new home on top of a highline power poll. It was right smack in the middle of 2 insulators, which is needless to say a very bad spot to build a new home. There is a great danger to the bird and could also cause a lot of people to be out of power, if the bird is unlucky enough to get caught in the hot wires. Instant grilled bird and a loss of power. The power company set out to save the day, it was a major production. Line truck, giant crane, jumper wires, 4 guys and 2 flaggers set out to save the day for the said Osprey.

The guys took a special platform, made just for this reason, out and preceded to put it up on top of the pole. Boy did we have 2 pissed off birds, they were flying all around and swooping in and out and chattering at the top of there lungs trying to scare the guys away, little did they know it was all for there on good.

After they finished putting up the platform, they moved the nest to the top of it. Then cleaned out the mess in between the insulators and all was well. They were happy and the birds were pleased with the new home.

PS the birds had already returned with more twigs and were busy building again before we left.

My pics are straight out of the camera, so I hope you can see the details.
