A Day At The Beach

Well it started out as a Beautiful day, we were heading to the Beach to go camping. First we had to stop by the grocery store to pick up a few extras. We pull into the parking lot, got out, leaving Millie Dog in the moter home. Well I guess Millie did not like being left alone, so she says "hummm" I'll fix my Momma and Poppa, I'll just take a DUMP while they are gone. Well she did and what a mess, smelled to high heaven and enough to gag a maggot. After I finally got her and everything else cleaned up, we proceeded to the Coast.

We arrived at the Beach around noon, got everthing set up, Bob decides to go surf fishing.

I decided to go take some pics of all the STARFISH everyone says that are just hanging around on the rocks. So off I go, Camera in hand. The first thing I encounter is this Lovely Starfish Condo

After the Condo, I find a couple of Starfish just hangin out.

OOOO, this water is cold.

I'm just Hangin Out

Next I encounter a couple of Starfish sun tanning and the green Monster.

A little more shade please

I really needed this.

It's not fun being green

After I spent the rest of the afternoon taking Fifty Bezillion pictures of Starfish and Green Monsters, there was this perfect ending to a Wonderful Day of play. I captured this BEAUTIFUL Sunset.

PERFECT ENDING TO A PERFECT DAY.

Salsa Salsa Salsa

Well my day started off at 7:00am. In the kitchen 2 buckets of TOMATOES waited patiently for me.

After I spent 3hrs blanching and peeling tomatoes.

I spent another hour madly chopping the onions, peppers, green onions, garlic and cliantro. Then happily mixed all the ingredients together, gradually adding the salt, pepper, lemon juice, white vinegar and tomato paste, stirring until everything was melded together. I then took the pot of SALSA and carefully placed it on the stove and cooked it for at least 1/2 hour. As I am cooking the SALSA I get all my jars and lids ready. I then carefully ladle the SALSA into hot jars and seal. Then into a hot water bath for at least 45 mins.

Then VOILA I have 11 pints of SALSA.

Kathy this is for you, here is a pic of your Uncle Jere as a Tomato.
