A Few More Pics - Same effect

I was playing with a few more of my pics using the same filter.

CS2

I have been busy playing with Photoshop CS2. I bought a book that tells you how to do things step by step. Is is the Photoshop CS2 book for digital photographers, and I think it is great. Helps me out a lot because I love trying to do different things with my photos instead of just using the original shot.

Here are a couple I have played with.

The first one I burned the edges, that gave the pic the black effect around the edges. It was also very foggy when I took this photo.

These I used Creating Drama with a Soft Spotlight. It focuses on 1 part of the photo, then darkens the rest. I thought it was cool.

This my Ladybug. I took this this summer while picking my green beans.

This was one of my many Roses that I have every summer.

Road Trip

Now mind you I have driven Interstate 5 both ways mannny times and have seen mannny road signs. You know, Mt Ashland, Canyon Creek, Days Creek, Hayes Hill and so on. Now there is this one that has a unique name, I have passed it mannny a time and never thought a thing about it, but as I was heading up the interstate going to the work site about a month ago, it just jumped out at me. I asked Teri if she had ever noticed the mile post number before, of course she said no. I don't know if every state has mile post signs or not, but as I said this sign just jumped out at me, I guess I should pay more attention as I drive, I am usually talking and singing along with the music. OK OK the name on the sign said Sexton Mt Pass, which I had seen before, but had never paid any attention to the mile post number on same said sign. Anyway who names a Mountain Sexton? Someone in Oregon did. Well this is a pictue of the sign I took the last time I drove over Sexton Mt Pass.

Cowinkie dink or not. You decide, but I hope you get a good laugh out of it.

I Am So Mad!

I don't know if you watch Dancing with the Stars or not, but after last nights results show there are a lot of unhappy or happy people out there. The Best Dancer on the whole entire show just got voted off.

Sabrina was the best dancer there and should have won the whole thing but somehow the people did not like her. They kept saying things like, she's a Pro and should not be allowed in the contest, or she's a choregrapher because of here connection with the Cheetah Girls. These same people kept saying she was fat and cocky. I think most of them were just jealous. These same people did not think that Mario was a pro, because they thought he was sexy, from what I understand he had a lot of dance training. These same people didn't think Joey Fatone was a pro even with all his dance experience with the Back Street Boys. These same people don't think Jane Seymor is a pro, but she had 16 years of Ballet lessons when she was younger and wanted to become a Ballerina. They just don't like Marie Osmond because she's Marie Osmond and she is also fat. They don't like Cameron either, they say he can't act or dance. I don't know who they like because if you read the message boards, they don't like anyone.

Everyone says they are through watching for this year because it is either rigged or they don't like the judges or who is left to dance.
They thought that either Jane, Marie or Cameron should have been voted off last night and I agree. I don't think anyone was more suprised that she was not the one to go last night than Marie, I thought she was going to faint again when they told her she was safe.

I don't know who I will vote for now, because the best is gone. I guess I'll just keep voting for Marie and see how much longer she can hang in there and really piss THESE PEOPLE that think that they are dance experts off.

You go MARIE! Keep hanging in there and I'll keep voting for you.

Still Hanging In There

Well, I'm still hanging in there. I must lead the most boring life of anyone I know. You guys have so much going on and so much to write about. OK so I am going to tell you what exciting things I did this past week.

#1 and top of the list, well this is not what I did but BOB is working out of town for a month or so and I don't have to worry about cleaning or cooking except on weekends. WOOOOO HOOOOO, WOOOOO HOOOOO, WOOOOO HOOOO. Now don't get me wrong, I Love my husband but it is so peaceful and quite around here when he is gone that I don't know what else to do or say except WOOOOO HOOOOO, WOOOOO HOOOOO, WOOOOO HOOOOO.

#2 -- I decided I would do some deep cleaning. I cleaned out the freezer and frig. Then I decided to wash my bottles and faux plants on top of my cabinets. Well that lasted about a half of the day. Enough of that, there had to be something better to do, but I don't know what. So I'm just hanging in there and not doing much of anything.

#3 -- I bought me a GPS system for my car, so I thought I would go for a spin to see how well it worked. Boy does that woman get pissed when you don't follow her directions. I was intentionly ignoring her directions to see what would happen and she would say make a U turn as soon as it is safe or recalulating and fine me a new route, but I did end up back where I was supposed to be with her initial directions.
She gets a little pushy and I found myself telling her to shut up and give me time to make a right or left turn, I need to get to the intersection first. OK OK I know it's her job to do this but give me a break woman.

#4 -- I picked Tomatoes and other Veggies and delivered them to my senior neighbors, am I not the best. They sure are enjoying my garden, but it's about all gone now except for a few Maters.

#5 -- Last but not least I ended up taking pics of Millie just sleepng up a storm, which is what she does most of the time any more. My poor baby is getting so old and crippled up. Bob says if she doesn't quit peeing and pooping everywhere he's going to make a one way trip to the Vet and guess who won't be coming back, but I think he knows that if he does that he will also be making a one way trip to the cemetary. She is bad, but she's my baby and I have to clean up after her and him too. So there.

There, that is about all the excitment I could handle for the week so I want bore you anymore.

Until next time. SEE YA!

A Day At The Beach

Well it started out as a Beautiful day, we were heading to the Beach to go camping. First we had to stop by the grocery store to pick up a few extras. We pull into the parking lot, got out, leaving Millie Dog in the moter home. Well I guess Millie did not like being left alone, so she says "hummm" I'll fix my Momma and Poppa, I'll just take a DUMP while they are gone. Well she did and what a mess, smelled to high heaven and enough to gag a maggot. After I finally got her and everything else cleaned up, we proceeded to the Coast.

We arrived at the Beach around noon, got everthing set up, Bob decides to go surf fishing.

I decided to go take some pics of all the STARFISH everyone says that are just hanging around on the rocks. So off I go, Camera in hand. The first thing I encounter is this Lovely Starfish Condo

After the Condo, I find a couple of Starfish just hangin out.

OOOO, this water is cold.

I'm just Hangin Out

Next I encounter a couple of Starfish sun tanning and the green Monster.

A little more shade please

I really needed this.

It's not fun being green

After I spent the rest of the afternoon taking Fifty Bezillion pictures of Starfish and Green Monsters, there was this perfect ending to a Wonderful Day of play. I captured this BEAUTIFUL Sunset.

PERFECT ENDING TO A PERFECT DAY.

Salsa Salsa Salsa

Well my day started off at 7:00am. In the kitchen 2 buckets of TOMATOES waited patiently for me.

After I spent 3hrs blanching and peeling tomatoes.

I spent another hour madly chopping the onions, peppers, green onions, garlic and cliantro. Then happily mixed all the ingredients together, gradually adding the salt, pepper, lemon juice, white vinegar and tomato paste, stirring until everything was melded together. I then took the pot of SALSA and carefully placed it on the stove and cooked it for at least 1/2 hour. As I am cooking the SALSA I get all my jars and lids ready. I then carefully ladle the SALSA into hot jars and seal. Then into a hot water bath for at least 45 mins.

Then VOILA I have 11 pints of SALSA.

Kathy this is for you, here is a pic of your Uncle Jere as a Tomato.

Catch Me If You Can

HA HA, catch me if you can. I'm here and you can't get that camera focused fast enough to catch me. I think I might just have a bite to eat and tease you some more. Yea that's right put that camera down and I'll come back for some more of that great sugar water and you still can't get me. I think I might just take a short break and rest here on the clothes line.

Color Banner

Here is a color banner, using same pics as before.

Banner

Hi, I'm back.
I just wanted to say a few words about my new Banner, hence the name.... Me And Dollie Too
This is the first Banner that I have created using some pics of Porclain Dolls I have made. I had a heck of a time but here it is.

I had to join a PSP group again and start from scratch. I have not played with PSP much lately. so I forgot how to do anything. Boy did I feel dumb. I did a lot of deleting and starting over, but that EDIT button is a PSP'ers best friend and I got to know it up close and personal, but I kinda like the results somewhat. I spent my whole afternoon messing with this thing. I plan to try it again soon, using different pics and leaving them in color and see what happens.
Well, what do you think?

I am A Smores

You Are Smores

Unusual and unconventional, you make your strange ways work for you.
You've got personality - no one's denying that!

This is so true.

Just Saying HI!

Hi,
My name is Linda and I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself to everyone. I lead a very BORING life in Rogue River, OR. I am also not very good at writing exciting or interesting stories about what I do or why I do certain things.
I just bought a new Canon Rebel Camera,(HAPPY BIRTHDAY from ME to ME) so I have been very busy taking pictures of every flower in my yard and trying to capture a couple of Bumble Bees, but they just will not sit still and pose for me. I finally got tired of the flowers and bees, so I went out searching for other things to photograph, like the River, the Dam and some more flowers. I have taken so many pictures of my poor Dog she barks at me when I pick up the camera or she tries to sit on my feet because she is afraid of the flash.
I have also taken some pictures of my latest creation, my cute baby girl. Her name is Hannah Rose. I am so pleased with the results. She's all dressed up with no place to go.
I flag traffic so I can have extra molah to buy myself camera's and play with my Dollies. Two things my Mother always told as a child was not to play in the middle of the Street and get in out of the Rain, so what do I do for a living, (you got it) play in the rain in the middle of the street and dodge cars all day.
I am new at this so I am going to try and post a couple of pics, but your guess is as good as mine if I will succeed at this. Here goes nothing.
